Write Mode is where your ideas become content. With your structure in place, you can focus on writing. With an AI ready to help when you need it.
How Write Mode Works
- Start with structure - Your outline becomes the writing framework
- Write section by section - Focus on one part at a time
- Get AI help - Request suggestions when you’re stuck
- Review as you go - The AI learns your voice from what you write
The Writing Interface
The Editor
A clean, distraction-free editor with:
- Rich text formatting (bold, italic, headings)
- Markdown shortcuts for power users
- Section navigation from your outline
The AI Panel
Opens when you need help:
- Continue writing - Get the next sentence or paragraph
- Rephrase - Alternative ways to say something
- Expand - Add more detail to a point
- Simplify - Make complex text clearer
Writing with AI Assistance
When You’re Stuck
- Click the AI button or press
Cmd/Ctrl + / - Select Continue writing
- BlueTip generates the next sentence or paragraph
- Accept, modify, or regenerate
When You Need Options
- Select the text you want to improve
- Click Rephrase
- Choose from multiple alternatives
- Pick the one that sounds best
When You Need More
- Place your cursor where you want more content
- Click Expand
- BlueTip adds supporting details, examples, or explanations
When It’s Too Complex
- Select complicated text
- Click Simplify
- Get a clearer, more readable version
Voice and Tone
BlueTip learns your writing style from what you write. The more you write, the better it matches your voice.
To help the AI understand your style:
- Write naturally in your own voice
- Accept suggestions that sound like you
- Modify suggestions that don’t fit
- Reject suggestions that are off-base

Tips for Better Writing
Write First, Edit Later
Don’t try to make every sentence perfect on the first pass. Get ideas down, then refine.
Use AI for Momentum
When you’re stuck, let AI get you moving. You can always edit what it generates.
Follow Your Outline
Your outline is your map. Trust the structure you created.
Take Breaks
Long writing sessions lead to fatigue. Write in focused bursts.
Moving to Review
When your draft is complete:
- Click Review in the mode switcher
- Get AI feedback on your entire document
- Use Read Aloud to hear how it sounds
