Account Settings

Manage your BlueTip account from the Settings page. Access it by clicking your profile icon in the top right corner.

Profile Settings

Personal Information

  • Name - How you appear in shared documents
  • Email - Your login email (contact support to change)
  • Avatar - Upload a profile picture or use your initials

Writing Preferences

  • Default mode - Which mode new documents open in
  • Default voice - Preferred Read Aloud voice
  • Keyboard shortcuts - Customize key bindings

Subscription & Billing

Current Plan

View your current subscription:

  • Plan name and features
  • Billing cycle (monthly/annual)
  • Next billing date
  • Usage statistics

Change Plan

Upgrade or downgrade:

  1. Click Change Plan
  2. Compare available options
  3. Select your new plan
  4. Confirm the change

Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at your next billing date.

Billing History

View and download:

  • Past invoices
  • Payment receipts
  • Tax documents

Payment Method

Update your payment information:

  1. Click Update Payment
  2. Enter new card details
  3. Save changes

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other major cards.

Security

Password

Change your password:

  1. Click Change Password
  2. Enter current password
  3. Enter new password twice
  4. Save

Use a strong, unique password.

Two-Factor Authentication

Enable 2FA for extra security:

  1. Click Enable 2FA
  2. Scan QR code with authenticator app
  3. Enter confirmation code
  4. Save backup codes

Active Sessions

View and manage logged-in devices:

  • See all active sessions
  • Log out from specific devices
  • Log out everywhere

Notifications

Email Preferences

Choose what emails you receive:

  • Product updates - New features and improvements
  • Tips & tutorials - Writing advice and best practices
  • Billing alerts - Payment confirmations and issues
  • Security alerts - Login notifications and warnings

In-App Notifications

Control notification behavior:

  • AI suggestions - When AI has recommendations
  • Collaboration - When others edit shared documents
  • System - Important account information

Data & Privacy

Export Data

Download all your data:

  1. Click Export All Data
  2. Choose format (JSON or ZIP)
  3. Receive download link via email

Includes all documents, settings, and account information.

Delete Account

Permanently delete your account:

  1. Click Delete Account
  2. Confirm you understand this is permanent
  3. Enter your password
  4. Confirm deletion

This cannot be undone. Export your data first if you want to keep it.

View and manage third-party connections:

  • See connected services
  • Revoke access as needed
  • Connect new integrations

API Access

For developers and power users:

  • Generate API keys
  • View API documentation
  • Monitor API usage

Available on Pro plans and above.

Team Settings

Available on Team and Enterprise plans

Team Members

  • Invite new members
  • Manage roles and permissions
  • Remove team members

Team Billing

  • View team usage
  • Manage team subscription
  • Download team invoices

Team Security

  • Enforce 2FA for all members
  • Set password requirements
  • Configure SSO (Enterprise only)
